Designer meet Lady Gaga's costumes

This is one of the craziest stories I've read so far this year, and I had to share it. London College of Fashion designer, Anna Chong, has recreated a selection of Lady Gaga's most popular looks in miniature form. The collection of dresses includes the American flag number from the Telephone video, the lobster hat and matching plastic dress, as well as the Armani orbit dress from the Grammy Awards.

But the star of the collection has to be the infamous meat dress (made from Parma ham), which apparently took two weeks to create, as Anna "tested numerous outfits made from salami, honey roasted ham and raw beef strips." You really couldn't make this up! The only meat I eat is chicken, and I'm even squeamish about that, so this dress kind of grosses me out. But that said I think this is a genius idea.

The collection of dresses will be premiered at tomorrow’s London Toy Fair, and was exclusively designed for Harumika, a fashion design activity range for girls. Anna says:

"Lady Gaga is a true trend-setter with her unconventional outfits causing a major stir in the fashion world. I am hoping the mini-collection, which takes a fraction of the time and cost to replicate, will send the toy world Gaga – and advise supermarkets to stock up on their supplies of Parma ham!"

What do you make of this collection of dresses? Crazy or genius?
